second day of Christmas

Our friends the Oldhams invited to go to an indoor water park in SaarBruecken, 30 minutes towards the French border. We got there at 10am and were some of the first to arrive. We had great time especially since hardly anyone was there. We stayed until Taylor fizzled out, about 2pm. Micah trying to spray me.

Greg taking a time out with the kids.

Afterwards we headed home and made a unexpected detour to France. I didn't realize how close we were to the border. We were on a mission to find gas and the nearest Esso station (the gas station were we have a card with the military) was in Forbach.....german name......French town. oooopppss......For some reason our gas card doesn't work in france.....and Esso doesn't take Visa....and all other gas stations were closed. We started to panic after driving to 3 different gas stations with our gas light glowing at us the entire way.....yikes......The fourth gas station was open.....phew......and they took cash. So much for france.....but we didn't find a Cora grocery super market, where everyone goes to buy French food. Next time we will buy some baquettes and cheese.

I love that last picture... being a poser.. it shows that he really is growing up. Crazy. Looks like a fun day. Sorry about France.. that would be WAY stressful. :-)

Ooh the looking for a gas station part must have been scary! The water park looked like fun - what a neat way to spend the day after Christmas!!:)
